I hope you all had a great New Year celebration - I know I did! I just want to take a quick moment to go through some of the main events of 2015 for me and then go through my 2016 goals. It's so crucial for me to have my goals written out where I can see them to ensure that I focus on them, you guys should try the same.
This past year was pretty intense. My dad died early in the year at the age of 47, and me being the oldest of 5 siblings, this hit really hard. It fucking sucks, but it's been really beautiful to see how supportive and loving those close to me are. It's opened my eyes to see that you've always got to appreciate those that love you actively and do your best to return that love and support all the time.
On a more positive note, my boyfriend and I moved out of our (amazing) downtown loft and bought a house! It is SO beyond incredible to be going on this life journey with such a beautiful human being. I mean, he is so generous and loving and kind and smart and talented and blah blah blah I could go on forever, but basically I love him and this year has been huge for the both of us in so many ways. I couldn't have asked for a better partner to go through life with than Lon. You muh bess fren, Levy!!
Lastly, I quit my job the day before New Year's Eve so I could start 2016 with a clean state and fully chase my dreams of becoming a professional actress and screenwriter. This took a lot of balls to do and I'm proud of myself for taking such a huge step towards making my dreams come to life.
Quitting my job was such a bittersweet move because I felt so relieved that I didn't have to spend the vast majority of my time doing something that wasn't fulfilling me in the slightest, but now I have this intense anxiety that's in the back of my mind all day everyday that now it's all up to me whether I "make it" or not. I know that I will because failure truly isn't a thought in my head and I plan on working my ass off and manifesting the life that I want. It helps for me to write my goals and plans down so I can constantly see them, so I'll write the list I have so far here for you to see:
1. Get an agent
2. Finish my screenplay
3. Book a national commercial
4. Book 3 feature's with speaking roles
5. Write every single day no matter what
6. Post at least once a week on the blog
7. Eat healthfully and workout regularly
I plan on achieving these goals with hard work and dedication, the old fashioned recipe to getting shit done. And since I no longer have to go somewhere to "go to work", I'm going to have to really discipline myself and remind myself that I'm only going to get as much out of my craft that I put into it. I just recently ordered a Passion Planner, which I am SO excited to get because I'm obsessed with planners, but I'm really excited to have it help me towards my goals. Anyways... here are some photos from the year! Talk to you soon xo
